Hello people, Gus-Gus back again. This week mom and dad went to the Earth day the Owl Creek Way event and mom told me a little about it I’m going to share with you. I also got this super easy beef jerky recipe from mom’s new diet as she tries to figure out if she is allergic to one of the major foods. I also get to tell you all about The Little Prince since we finished reading. So many exciting thing I could go run laps in the kitchen and dinning room.
Earth Day the Owl Creek Way
So mom and dad left us home to guard the house while they went to the Earth Day the Owl Creek Way event at Patriots Park. Can you believe that they went to the park without us? Anyway mom says not too worry I would not have been able to go around the park because there was too much going on and she and dad had to take turns watching the booth they had set up. Mom says the honey people were there, the butterfly lady, a guy with fishing stuff that dad kept wandering over to talk to, a solar energy guy, and few others. She said they had good chili and some other foods. I asked if I could go next year but she said it would not be good for me to be there with so many people coming and going.
The Beef Jerky
This is really good I got a small piece the other day.
Ingredients – 1 pound sirloin, trimmed, cut in thinly sliced small pieces; 1/2 Cup coconut aminos; 1 Tablespoon sea salt
Place all ingredients in a resealable bag and refrigerate for 2 hours. Line two large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Preheat oven for 200 degrees. Then spread the jerky out in a single layer on the baking sheet, leaving a little space between pieces. Bake for 2 hours, flipping halfway, or until dry. Store in an air tight container. Enjoy!
The Little Prince
Well me and mom finished reading The Little Prince. It was really good. It made me realize the adults are crazy. This book is a must read. Mom says that it made her think about how over complicated adults make things and how children simple as they are. The characters were easy to love even the snake. I highly recommend this book. We are now on to Anne of Green Gables, it is already starting good.
Thank you for reading and next week I’ll tell you about the book dust dad makes. I will also tell you how mom makes pudding out of avocado’s, not fully sure about this but she like it. I will also tell you about game nights and my favorite part. Until then Laters.
